    National Historic Site is the locale of the David Thompson Puppet Theatre (takes bookings).The Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site with its interpretive Museum brings visitors back to the days of David Thompson and the Fur trade. May to September 10-6PM.

    Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site
    The North West Company and the rival Hudson's Bay Company both erected fur trading posts in this area as early as 1799. Site encompasses the archaeological remains of four forts built between 1799 and 1875.
